About PCVC
Building Chemistry, Drive & Skill
Program Philosophy:
Every child who enjoys the sport of volleyball deserves an opportunity to play it and be coached by adults who share their passion for the sport. PCVC promises to provide children with a supportive and fun learning environment focusing on skill development, overall fitness, being a good teammate, building competitive drive, and game play strategies and preparedness. The coaching staff is dedicated to putting the diverse needs of each child first and doing all they can to help the children to achieve their volleyball goals. PCVC believes that every child is capable of achieving, and that a strong volleyball community leads to incredible opportunities.
Why was PCVC started?
Physical Education Teacher and Coach, Paul Myers, spent 11 years building a strong Girls Modified program at Barker Road Middle School with a focus on each girl and their progress toward achieving their volleyball goals. However, every year many of the girls do not make club teams or simply cannot dedicate the time and money to playing in a club setting. After being asked by parents and players each year for advice on choosing local club and camp programs, it was time to create his own program with a focus on the kids improving while building their love of volleyball. Club does not need to be a money-grab, and kids who love volleyball deserve a safe place to play their sport. This belief has been the driving force behind the creation of PCVC.
